School Building Collapse in Nigeria’s Plateau State Leaves Seven Dead

At least seven bodies have been recovered from the rubble of a collapsed school building in central Nigeria’s Plateau state on Friday, according to an eye-witness. The two-story building, part of Saint Academy in the Busa Buji community of Jos North district, collapsed during school hours at approximately 07:30 GMT, raising fears of more casualties among students and teachers.

Rescue operations are ongoing, with five students already rescued alive from the debris. Security forces, including soldiers and police, are at the scene, working to find and rescue any remaining survivors.
