According to the Judicial Service, the nominations will first be reviewed by the Judicial Council as part of the constitutionally mandated process. Once the Council concludes its consideration, the nominees will be presented to Parliament for approval, as required under Article 144(2).

This development marks a significant step in shaping the composition of the nation’s apex court, and signals President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary through appointments grounded in constitutional procedure and merit.
